Post Season Volleyball Honors Teams Include 4 'Sugarbeeters, Lady Cat

Post season Volleyball awards were announced following the conclusion of the state tournaments on Saturday. Four Chinook Sugarbeeters and one Harlem Lady Cat were recognized for their efforts this season.

Chinook seniors Delaney Kellam, Ginger Hauer and Hailey Bell were selected to the Northern C All-State Team. The trio was also named to the District 7C All-Conference First team. Chinook senior Jayden Miller was selected to the District 7C Second Team.

Chinook had an outstanding season, finishing third at the Northern C Divisional. Head Coach Paula Molyneaux is very proud of her team as a whole this season, "This was such an unusual year, I can't tell you how thankful I am that we were not only able to play, but also to complete the post season. Working with this group was both rewarding and enjoyable. Their love for the game was contagious and they were hands down the brightest part of my day, everyday."

Harlem Lady Cat senior Alayney Hawley was selected to the District 2B All-Conference First Team. "Alaynee is so deserving of this honor. Alaynee would be the first person to give credit to her teammates. If it wasn't for them she wouldn't have had the attack opportunities. She is a great and positive leader on and off the volleyball court! A true pleasure to coach the past four years!" stated Head Coach Kim Faulkinberry.
