Harlem Golf Course will Survive COVID-19, Banquet set for April 10 at Former VFW Building

2020 was a trying year for everyone and the Harlem Golf Course was no different. Despite it all, the course made it through and 2021 is off to a great start.

To keep the course up and running, a lot still needs to be done and often times that may include asking for volunteer work to be done by its members or with help from other communities nearby.

The Harlem Golf Course held a Board of Directors meeting on March 2, 2021. The Board of Directors include President Don Richman, Vice President Tim Richman, Secretary Eddie Moore, Treasurer Ralph Schneider and regular Board members Taylor Richardson, Rob Williams, Rod Donahue and Al Bigby

The Board of Directors put things in motion to kick-start the new season, the first of which was a No-host NCAA Calcutta that was held on March 15, 2021. The board will also be selling 50/50 cash draw tickets available for purchase at City Hall and Richman Insurance.

Other fundraiser will include a Beef Raffle being put together by Tim Richman and Ralph Schneider. Ralph's Guns will have a rifle raffle that will be displayed at Richman Insurance, and a group of Fort Belknap golfers have gotten together to sponsor a trip to Las Vegas.

Also in the works is a late summer raffle to Fairmont Hot Springs with the Grand Prize consisting of a weekend getaway at the resort along with other great prizes.

As far as hosting any type of tournaments this year, the hope is for Mother Nature to cooperate and allow some flexibility with the scheduling.

Lyle Faulkinberry will be handling a "Progressive Cash Drawing" with only 200 tickets sold and a top prize of $1,000 at the spring golf banquet.

The Harlem Golf Course Annual Banquet will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at the former VFW club in Harlem. This years Banquet will again feature plenty of raffles, a live auctions and a door prize for an individual membership in which you need not be present to win.
