WALKING DOWN MEDIEVAL TIMES...

The fifth and sixth grade students of Mrs. Elissa Zellmer recently studied Medieval History and as a fun hands on project, the students were asked to construct a castle from that era. The entire school was fascinated by the quality and the thought process that went into each project. The castles were on display in the school cafeteria a short time ago. Mrs. Zellmer concluded, "The students worked very hard to add details to their projects. Each one was unique and showed their interest in medieval history."

YES I CAN AWARD PRESENTED

Connor Van Valkenburg, son of Kevin and Wendy Van Valkenburg of Hogeland, and a Senior at Turner High School was nominated for the "YES I CAN" award earlier this year. Mrs. DeeAnn Howard, from the Bear Paw Co-op, received word just recently that Connor was one of the winners. The entire school turned out to watch him receive his award and after the virtual presentation, the students and staff presented Connor with a poster signed by the entire school. Connor's fellow classmates virtually congratulated him with a little message following the ceremony. Connor's family also attended and watched him receive the award. We are just so proud of Connor for all the accomplishments he has made throughout the years. He has shown determination and achievements in multiple ways. This year, Connor has taken on additional jobs in and away from the school in the community and all these things make it evident that he is definitely shown reason to not only be considered for the award but to receive it! We are all so proud of you, Connor! Congratulations!
