Summer Means Ice Cream

With summer right around the corner, Bliss Ice Cream decided to raffle off a family floatation device as a business promotion. In order to generate the revenue for their first ice cream order and to put the business in the public eye, raffle tickets for a Bestway Hydro Force Tropical Breeze Floating Island Raft went on sale May 3. Owner of the business, Jessica Cochran drew the lucky winner via Facebook Live on May 25.

About the promotion, Cochran, who had the help of friends and family selling tickets, stated: “Thank you for supporting a small business. We look forward to seeing you all this summer.”

Bliss Ice Cream, which is Harlem and Fort Belknap’s very own ice cream truck, began its season on May 20. The ice cream truck will have more products than last year but just about the same menu. According to Cochran, due to COVID, some items are temporarily unavailable, but they should be available later this summer. The ice cream truck serves prepackaged novelty ice creams, ice cream sandwiches, cones, and popsicles.

“I’m really excited to have Sonic the Hedgehog novelty ice creams back. Kids asked for them a lot last summer, and we could never get them after the first few weeks,” Cochran reported.

Cochran went on to explain that the business has been very well received by Harlem, Fort Belknap Agency, Hays, and Lodgepole. “It looks like we will be able to reach Hays and Lodgepole more often this summer. Right now I’m not sure of a schedule or days that will start out there, but we hope something will work out soon.”

Bliss Ice Cream will also be doing birthday parties, which will include a t-shirt for the birthday child, twenty ice creams, and a half-hour bouncy house. Anyone interested in this service should call Cochran at (406) 945-5678.
