We've Got The County Covered

Blaine County Library

Rebecca Stroh was our Summer Reading guest last week and she read to the kids and talked about being a Rodeo Queen. We thank Rebecca for taking time to come to the library! We missed a thank you to Volunteer Firefighter Aaron Morrow, who came to the library with Kylee Minnis for our Firefighter program. This week the kids went to the Blaine County Museum for a story read by Museum Director Sam French and a tour of the museum. Next week we will have a Border Patrol officer and the final week of July will be a story and tour at the Wildlife Museum. We are so thankful that community members have agreed to take time to talk about their jobs to our Summer Reading kids!

Godzilla VS Kong and Rock Dog are new movies available this week. We have two non-fiction books ready for checkout. "We All Know How This Ends" by Anna Lyons, an end-of-life doula & Louise Winter, a funeral director is full of lessons about life and living from working with death and dying. "The Woman They Could Not Silence" by Kate Moore is the story of one woman, her incredible fight for freedom, and the men who tried to make her disappear. We have three thrillers available this week. "Dream Girl" by Laura Lipman is a dark, complex tale of psychological suspense involving a novelist, incapacitated by injury, who is plagued by mysterious phone calls. In "Survive the Night" by Riley Sager, it's November 1991, Nirvana's in the tape deck, George H. W. Bush is in the White House, and movie-obsessed college student Charlie Jordan is in a car with a man who might be a serial killer. In "Local Woman Missing"

master of suspense, Mary Kubica takes domestic secrets to a whole new level, showing that some people will stop at nothing to keep the truth buried. If you are looking for a feel-good read, we have "What a Dog Knows" by Susan Wilson. This is a heartwarming novel about humans and the dogs that change their lives.
