Lucille Oehmcke

Lucille Oehmcke passed away August 22, 2021, peacefully in her sleep at the Sweet Memorial Nursing Home. She was born July 22, 1926 to William and Nellie Maehlen Johnson. She had one sister Marion Signora Johnson Gearheart. She graduated from Chinook High School in 1944 and attended Kinmon University at Spokane Washington. She graduated as master of accounting in 1945. Lucille married Ralph Gilbert Oehmcke October 19, 1946 and from this union, came Carolyn, Barbara, David, Jim, and Bill. She was elected Clerk and Recorder in 1972 for Blaine County. She retired in December 1994. Lucille was a 50 year member of the Eastern Star, VFW Auxiliary member, American Lutheran Church member, President of the State of Montana Clerk and Recorders Association and she was a member for 28 years. She loved playing the piano at the Senior Center in her late years and also with her Husband Ralph for country dances.

Lucille is survived by Carolyn (Harry) Liddle, Barbara (Marvin) Neufeld, David (Terri) Oehmcke, Jim (Gayla) Oehmcke, and Bill (Wenda) Oehmcke, Grandchildren Shane Oehmcke, Michelle Carda, Paul Oehmcke, Deric Neufeld, Craig Neufeld, Travis Liddle, Justin Liddle, Mitzi Cecrle, Mark Liddle, Shevin McBlair, Tyler Oehmcke, Naomi Reynolds, Christian Oehmcke, and had 27 Great Grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Sister Marion, Husband Ralph, and Granddaughter Amanda Oehmcke.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm, Friday, August 27, 2021 at American Lutheran Church in Chinook, MT.
