Christmas from the Hi-Line Concert Transpires Tonight

Tonight, December 15 at Havre High School's Auditorium, the Hi-Line Arts Council will be sponsoring a holiday concert featuring world renowned pianist Phillip Aaberg. The live performance, Christmas from the Hi-Line is slated for a 7 p.m. start time.

This is the second time that the Hi-Line Arts Council (HLAC) will host the Grammy and Emmy nominated composer, Aaberg. A native of Chester, Aaberg was the first performer of HLAC's inaugural event last year on December 20, when the newly formed organization announced their commitment to empowering North Central Montana communities through the support and promotion of arts, culture, and creative expression.

Although classically trained, Aaberg celebrates various traditions with his compositions and eclectic musical background. He weaves strains of blues and bluegrass as well as rock and musical innovation throughout his melodic tapestries that invite both meditation and delight.

Aaberg's program on Wednesday night will be selected from several of his popular recordings: Live from Montana, Christmas. High Plains Christmas, From the Ground Up, and Versatile.

Tickets are available from Havre Chamber of Commerce, The Computer Center, Bear Paw Meats, Company Apparel, and online at hilineartscouncil.org.

According to a HLAC spokesperson, this "family-friendly concert will be high-energy and high-spirited and will evoke the vastness and grandeur of Montana through music."

The event is a collaboration between HLAC and Sweetgrass Music.
