Chinook senior Allison Powell scores a bucket during first quarter action in Big Sandy Friday night. Powell and the 'Beeters topped the Pioneers 52-36 to win their District 9C opener.
The Chinook Sugarbeeters were looking to get the District 9C season off to a quick start this weekend as they were in Big Sandy Friday night for their conference opener. Saturday the girls were back on the road to take on the Bears in Box Elder.
Chinook began the season with some good non conference action in Shelby at the Coyote Preseason Tip off tournament. The' Beeters looked to build on that early season experience when they opened the conference schedule.
