Lady Cats Fall in Wolf Point 50-42 in District 2B Play

The Harlem Lady Cats headed east Saturday afternoon to take on the Wolf Point Wolves in a District 2B tilt. Senior Taya Trottier and sophomore Emma Billmayer each scored from distance early on, but the Lady Cats found themselves down 16-12 at the end of the first quarter.

Trottier added eight second quarter points and senior Chloe Messerly added five more in a strong second quarter effort that saw the Lady Cats catch the Wolves, sending the teams to halftime all even at 28-28.

Billmayer connected again from down town, as did Trottier in leading a steady Lady Cat attack. Harlem scored 11 third quarter points while limiting the Wolves to just six to take a 39-34 lead into the fourth quarter.

The offense struggled to get going down the stretch, scoring just three points in the fourth quarter allowing the Wolves to come back and take a 50-42 win over the Lady Cats.

Only thee players found the scoring column for the Lady Cats. Trottier scored 20 on the night while Billmayer and Messerly each finished with 11 in the loss.
