Carla Faye Peck of Chinook, MT died at home, January 5th 2022 at the age of 49 with her husband at her side. Carla fought a very valiant battle with cancer. She was born January 11, 1972 in Montrose, CO, to Dale H. and Emma (Hasty) Wilson.
Carla graduated from Olathe High in Olathe, CO in 1990. In the fall of 2000, Carla met the love of her life, Travis Peck in Kansas. It was love at first sight. They were married in March of the following year in Ouray, CO.
They lived in Montrose, CO for a brief period of time, were they were blessed with one son, Dalton Peck. They moved back to Kansas for a few years. They finally made their home in MT in the late summer of 2005. They fell in love with the small town of Chinook and the community.
Carla was very crafty and loved making Junk Journals, Cards, etc. Carla owned and operated a pet grooming and boarding business where she was loved by her customers, and adored by most of their pets.
Carla was the centerpiece and rock of her family. She was their light. Carla's sense of humor, laughter and smile brightened the lives of all that knew her and endeared her to many.
Carla's love of God, family and friends helped give her strength during her battle with cancer. She had a sweet spirit, absolute faith, and a positive attitude to the very end.
Carla was predeceased by her father, Dale H. Wilson, and niece Kohlie Crawford.
Carla is survived by husband, Travis Peck, their son, Dalton Peck; her mother, Emma Faye (Hasty) Wilson; her sisters, Carol Davis, Crystal Quinlan and husband Bryan; brother Rocky Wilson; many nephews and nieces of Colorado, California, and Arizona; as well as numerous other family members.
Cremation has taken place, and services are expected to be held in May of 2022.
Carla will be dearly missed.
