We've Got The County Covered

Blaine County Library

We have books from some of our patron’s favorite authors available this week. In “High Stakes” by Danielle Steel, five successful women play for high stakes in their careers at a boutique literary and talent agency. “The Lightning Rod” by Brad Meltzer is book 2 in the Escape Artist series. Defense attorney Robin Lockwood faces an unimaginable personal disaster and her greatest professional challenge in the new legal thriller, “The Darkest Place” by Phillip Margolin. “Targeted” by Stephen Hunter is a taut, white-knuckled thriller featuring master sniper Bob Lee Swagger as he protects a group of political hostages during a perilous standoff. Wyoming Game Warden Joe Pickett and his wife Marybeth make separate discoveries that put the Pickett family in a pair of killers’ crosshairs in “Shadows Reel” by C.J. Box.

March is Women’s History Month. We have a display of books celebrating Women’s History and one celebrating Montana Women. We also have a green book display for the month of March. We continue to have a book sale. Fill a large bag with as many books as you can for $3.00. We have a large selection of hard back and paperback books, fiction and non-fiction, adult, YA, and juvenile. We also have DVDs and audiobooks available.

We would like to remind patrons about some of the services available free of charge with your library card. MontanaLibrary2Go allows patrons free access to downloadable audio and eBooks as well as magazines. Through the end of 2022 you also have access to Method Test Prep to study for ACT and SAT exams. Patrons also have access to The Great Courses, a collection of lectures for lifelong learning. All you need is a device that connects to the Internet and your library card number. Instructions for using this service can be found on our website. If you have been utilizing this service using the Overdrive app, you will soon need to download the Libby app, as the Overdrive app is being phased out. If you need help accessing this service give us a call or bring your device into the library and we can get you set up.

Another service available at the library is the ability to checkout hotspots. You must have a library card for a minimum of one month and be in good standing to checkout a hotspot. Hotspots have a 2-week checkout period.

Did you know that if you are looking for a book that is not available in our library, we can do an Interlibrary loan for the item? We will do our best to get what you are looking for, whether through ILL or purchase of the item.
