Pula To Play For MSU-N

Chinook High School senior Oskar Pula entertained 'Beeter fans on the hardwood for the past four years. This past season the standout led the Sugarbeeters in scoring with more than 15 per contest. Pula also cleaned the glass for nearly 12 rebounds a game and shot 55% from the field to go along with 34% from beyond the arc. Pula raised the roof on gyms across the District 9C as well as the Northern C with some high flying rim rattlin' dunks.

Now that he has put his high school career behind Pula has decided to take his game to the next level. This past week Pula, accompanied by friends and family made his intentions known and signed to play for the Montana State University Northern Lights this fall.

In a press release by the MSU-Northern Lights, Head Coach Shawn Huse had this to say, "Oskar is a guy with a lot of potential. I would call it a breakout season for Oskar this past year, and we are excited to have him on board. This opportunity made sense for both of us in a lot of ways." Huse went on to say, "We are a good fit academically for what Oskar wants, and helps give what we are always looking for in terms of young player development. He has a smooth shot, moves well, and can effect things on both ends of the floor with his height and length."

With the upcoming season just a few months a way and a senior year to finish yet, their is still decisions to be made, "He will most likely be a red-shirt next season as we look forward to watching his progression and development relative to the college game," concluded Huse.
