Big Flat 4-H Meeting Minutes

turday, April 16 at 9:30 AM at the Turner Christian Church. Members present include: Hudson and Mary Simons, Hannah and Isabella Van Voast, Hannah and Natalie Richman, Katie Kimmel, Jessa Schroder, and Piper and Avery Fox. Leaders present were Shannon Van Voast, Bobbi Schroder and Hillary Richman. Liveey Fox was our guest. Prior to the meeting starting the club hid Easter eggs around the church for community kids. We divided the egg hunt by age, 1 – 3 year olds were closest to the church, preschool – kindergarten were behind the church and the 1st – 3rd grade kids were outside the church lawn towards the fields.

Roll call was to tell what your family was doing for Easter. Piper Fox led the American pledge and Hannah Richman led the 4-H pledge.

Under Old Business Shannon reminded families that the last day to drop or add a project is May 1. Notify the Extension Office if there are any changes you want to make.

Under New Business Shannon asked if the club would donate money to the Christian Church for the use of the building for meetings throughout the year. Katie moved to donate $50 and Hudson seconded the motion. The motion passed. 4-H camp registration is open now. Shannon read the letter about a basket from the “Friends of Harlem Public Library” asking for a basket for their auction in June. Hudson moved to donate a basket worth approximately $30 and Hannah Van Voast seconded the motion. The motion passed. We scheduled Project Day for July 9 in Turner.

The meeting was adjourned and the Community Easter Egg Hunt was held starting at 10:00. Following the hunt snacks were served to families.
