Spring sports in Montana always presents a number of challenges. Weather can force postponements or cancellations. Wind and rain can make for some difficult conditions to perform at their best and an ever changing schedule are things that student athletes in Montana are accustomed to. So when the post season comes around and everything comes together for a perfect day at the District Track and Field Meet it's exciting to see how well the athletes can compete. Wednesday in Havre the weather was as good one could expect.

Harlem Head Coach Kim Faulkinberry was pleased with her teams performance, "We qualifies 13 for the divisional meet in Great Falls! We had a few that didn't do as well as they had hoped, but I think it will only light a fire to get after it next year. Many of the young athletes that didn't qualify earned personal records in their events! Ultimately that is what our goal is, to get better each week. The Northern Division is always tough, but I am optimistic that we will show up to compete on Saturday and earn our way to State.
The five finishers at the Northern B and the Northern C plus Automatic qualifiers will advance to the Combined Class B/C State Track and Field Meet in Great Falls, May 27-28.
