Foundation Announces June Events

The Friends of the Pool and Park Foundation (FPPF) announced an upcoming fundraiser scheduled for Saturday, June 11. To coincide with the Chinook Swim Meet, the Foundation will be holding a Pulled Pork Dinner at 6:00 p.m. at the Eagles Club, located at 305 Indiana Street in Chinook. Later this month, the group will host a public meeting.

Foundation members invite the public to a pulled pork meal, which will be served with baked beans, coleslaw, a bun, and dessert. The purpose of this event is to continue generating funds that will support the rehabilitation of the Chinook Pool and Park Complex.

Foundation members will also be providing a meal delivery service, so if anyone is unable to join in person but wishes to have a meal delivered, the number to call or text for delivery in Chinook is 406-390-6233. About the meal function, Heather DePriest, President of the Foundation, invited: “Come enjoy a good meal and help support a great cause!”

According to DePriest, the Foundation is still working towards the bond scenario, so she encourages community members to watch for details on that subject. As a means to inform the public of their plans and intentions, the FPPF will host a public forum-style meeting at 6:00 p.m. on June 21 at the Sweet Memorial Park where any questions will be answered and concerns addressed.

Everyone is invited to join that session.
