Harlem City Pool Faces Challenges with Staffing

The Harlem City Pool opened at noon on Wednesday, June 1 for the season. Anyone interested in purchasing a pool pass or signing up for swim lessons can do so with the Pool Manager during pool hours.

Lyle Falkinberry will serve as the Pool Manager in Harlem this year. He released the Pool Schedule last week. For Monday through Friday, the tentative schedule reveals hours and designated activities:

• 7:00—8:00 a.m. Lap Swim

• 8:00—10:00 a.m. Swim Team

• 10:00 a.m.—12:00 p.m. Swim Lessons

• 12:00—1:00 p.m. Guard Laps

• 1:00—5:00 p.m. Recreational Swimming

• 5:00—6:00 p.m. Swim Team

• 6:00—8:00 p.m. Recreational Swimming

• 8:00—9:00 p.m. Aerobics

On Saturdays and Sundays, the pool hopes to host recreational swimming from noon until 5:00 p.m. and again from 6:00 through 8:00 p.m. However, due to staffing shortages, all planned and posted hours saw fluctuations last week. For an adjusted listing of hours, interested persons should call 406-353-2361.

Under the direction of Coach Andrew Rasmussen, the Harlem Swim Team held their first meet on June 4-5 in Harlem. Their next meet is in Chinook on June 11-12.
