Susan Ann Templet

Susan passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones Friday May 27th 2022. A funeral service will be held at 6:30 PM, Friday June 10, 2022 at Chinook Alliance Church in Chinook, MT. Burial will take place Saturday June 11, at 3:00 PM at Kuper Memorial Cemetery. Susan was born to Walter Barnes and Juanita Irene Barnes on January 4th 1949. She grew up with her four sisters and one brother.

Susan had met George William Templet (Bill), in 1990 and later married in 1997 in beautiful Aberdeen WA where they were happily married just shy of 25 wonderful years. They later moved to Montana in 2001 in the town of Fort Benton later relocating to Havre then Chinook then finally back to Havre.

Her hobbies included crafts, knitting, crocheting, coloring and drawing and most of all volunteering. She enjoyed time with family and friends and her pets. She was very involved with the American Legion and American Legion auxiliary where she held the sergeant at arms for the district 2 and along with the american legion auxiliary post 11.

Susan spent a lot of her time in Havre volunteering at the local Ruth Ann's Charity store also enjoyed going to a few of their favorite spots for coffee which included Cowboy Montana Coffee shop, Lunchbox and Chars Restaurant for breakfast and lunches.

Susan is survived by Husband George Templet (Bill), Brother James Gary Barnes of Hoquiam Washington, adopted daughter Sheila Forshee, adopted granddaughters Rebecca Wolcott, Sarah Damson, adopted grandson Jacob Wolcott (Teaya Wolcott) and four adopted great grandsons in Havre.

Susan was preceded in death by parents Walter Henery Barnes and Juanita Irene (Scofeild) Barnes, Sister Mary Alice (Barnes) Herman, Sister Barbra Jean (Barnes) Schwartz, Sister Julia Irene (Barnes) Hogah, Sister Sharon Kay Barnes and adopted Son in law Billy John Buerkle.
