Jason DeShaw to Speak at Harlem Assembly Today

Harlem High School is hosting an assembly sponsored by Tristan Billmayer Memorial, featuring Jason DeShaw. It will take place on Wednesday, September 7 at 1:30 in the afternoon at Harlem High School Gymnasium. All Blaine County Schools (7-12) have been invited to attend. The public is also invited.

September is Suicide Prevention Month and it is very important to spread awareness about mental illness and suicide. We had him speak and perform at our first suicide awareness walk in 2015 and he is very good.

“Jason DeShaw has spent years fighting for better care for people facing mental illness and addiction. He has gone behind the walls of state psychiatric hospitals and leading Veteran’s care facilities bringing hope along with him.

For his incredible work, Jason DeShaw received the Champions Award in Washington D.C. from the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) for “exhibiting courage, leadership and service on behalf of all people living with mental illness.”
