The Harlem Lady Cats started slow, then played well, then struggled in a difficult 71-31 loss at home to the Cut Bank Wolves Saturday afternoon.
The Lady Cats were able to dress their eighth graders that were allowed to suit up for the first time Saturday. The young ballers filled out the roster due to the lack of a junior varsity squad.
The Wolves took a 19-5 lead early but the Lady Cats battled back and trailed just 29-20 at the half. Following a pair of free throws from junior Emma Billmayer the Lady Cats were within five, 32-27 early in the third.
The Wolves outscored the Lady Cats 39-4 the remainder to secure a 71-31 win over Harlem. Harlem will be in Chinook Friday and Home Saturday against Wolf Point.
