PAWS Animal Shelter Holding a Low Cost Vaccination/Microchip Clinic on March 4, 2023

The PAWS Animal Shelter is holding a Low-Cost Vaccination/Microchip Clinic on Saturday, March 4 from 10 am - 3:00 pm at the Girl Scout House in Chinook. PAWS is committed to providing opportunities for local Dog owners to keep their pets healthy. The Clinic will provide Distemper/Parvo Combo Vaccine for free and will offer a One Year Rabies Shot for $10. The Microchip will be available as well for just $10.

PAWS Manager Alyssa Hewitt stated, “Supplies are limited so people should show up early. Dogs must be weaned or at least 6-8 weeks of age for their distemper/parvo vaccine, and at least 12 weeks of age for their rabies vaccine.” Hewitt also stated that a limited number of cat vaccines will be available as well.

The Shelter is coming off a challenging year that saw them successfully manage a severe crisis with the Hell Hound House. With numbers more manageable at the shelter the staff hopes to be able to continue with their mission of providing the best possible care for dogs in need. The Shelter has plenty of projects, clinics and events sure to interest the community coming up this spring. Stay tuned for updates in the Blaine County Journal as well as on the shelter’s Facebook page.
