The Harlem Lady Cats didn't have any post season magic happen this year as their season came to a close this past Friday in Malta at the District 2B Tournament.
The Lady Cats have competed valiantly all season long, but youth and inexperience have caused the girls to go through some growing pains. The Lady Cats entered the District to B 0-8 in conference and 3-16 overall.
The Lady Cats faced the Glasgow Scotties in their tournament opener Thursday night and turned in a solid effort that unfortunately ended with a 49-32 loss. Sophomore Jaden Blackcrow led the way with nine points.
Friday night the Lady Cats faced the Poplar Indians in Loser Out action. Harlem held a lead after eight minutes and trailed by just four at the break, 24-20.
Poplar finished strong outscoring the Lady Cats in the fourth 24-13 to secure a 49-42 win. Sophomore Aaraya Mount finished with 11 markers while senior Emma Billmayer tossed in nine more for the Lady Cats.
