We've Got The County Covered
The District 9C Senior Classic is a fun filled night that pits seniors and juniors together on White/Dark girls and boys team from all eight schools. The night is more than just players getting together, its about playing with others they have competed against as well as teammates they have played with.
A three point contest is held for both the boys and girls and a dunk contest takes place as well. In addition there is a shooting stars competition that combines the boys and girls competitors.
Several athletes from Blaine County were on hand for the fun. From Chinook, seniors Bree Swanson, Torin Cecrle, Ryan Meneely, Levi Jensen, Flint Annis and Brenden Fetter took part as did junior Hallie Neibauer.
Turner was represented by senior Dakota Krass and junior Ryan Doyle. Hays/Lodge Pole athletes included seniors Daniel Henry, William Has the Eagle, Cash Messerly, Kaleb Walker, Nashone Shambo and Shaunte Hawley.
In the girls game the White topped the Dark 60-57. Swanson scored 12 points for the Dark while Neibauer added 23 to the White total. Cecrle was a Sportsmanship winner for the game.
In the boys contest Doyle scored 20 points in helping the White pull out a 89-85 win over the Dark. Fetter scored 14 points and Messerly added 10 to the Dark score. Meneely was a sportsmanship winner.
Krass won the girls three-point contest with 40 made threes while Henry joined Fort Benton's Cody Evans and North Stars Rainee Watson to win the Shooting Stars competition.
