We've Got The County Covered
The Lady 'Cats hosted the Wolf Point Wolves Thursday evening, before heading to Poplar for a showdown Friday and a match up with Fairview there on Saturday.
"We were defeated in three (on Thursday), but the Lady 'Cats didn’t give up as we nearly took the third set," head coach Kim Faulkinberry said. "Wolf Point has some great hitters, and they found their groove before we did."
Harlem showed true grit on Friday afternoon against the Indians in a stunning comeback win.
"We dropped the first two sets before we rallied back to take the next three sets" Faulkinberry said. "We made some adjustments the third set and were able to come back.
"This is something that our team needed, just to realize that we can come back and win the match after dropping the first two."
Fairview presented a formidable opponent for the young Wildcats.
"Fairview's size and senior athleticism beat us 3-0," she said. "We saw some good things from our girls, but we couldn't find any consistency in the match.
"Overall, I am pleased with how we did over our three-day stretch of matches."
The Lady 'Cats will be in Whitewater for a match against the Mavericks on the Thursday and will face the Glasgow Scotties there on Saturday.
