We've Got The County Covered
The Harlem Wildcats made the most of their scheduled bye week by taking the opportunity to turn the week into a Homecoming with The Hays/Lodge Pole Thunderbirds. The Thunderbirds are playing a JV schedule this year and hosted the Harlem JV Monday afternoon in their Homecoming game. Since the Thunderbirds are playing a JV schedule, Friday night’s game would not count toward the teams season record.
Wildcat Head Coach, Trenton Woodward had this to say about the game, “It was technically a JV game or non-sanctioned game.” Woodward added, “It was good for us to tighten the screws on some of the little things we needed to work on.”
Senior Quarterback, Leon Champagne scored from 18 yards out on the Wildcats first possession and following the two- point conversion, Harlem held a quick 8-0 advantage. The Thunderbirds struggled mightily to get anything going offensively and Harlem could do whatever they wanted on offense. In the end it was a lopsided 78-0 Wildcat win.
Harlem will return to Northern C action this Friday as they face the Fort Benton Longhorns.
