We've Got The County Covered
JUMP youth Group will be conducting a food drive to benefit the Chinook Food Pantry. The Food Pantry benefits anyone with a need as long as they are Blaine County residents. JUMP has been involved in a yearly food drive for well over 10 years and have collected thousands of pounds of food and household items for the pantry. The drive will be held the evening of October 11th, youth will be going door to door collecting your donations. If you would like you can leave your donations outside the door and they will pick them up.
JUMP is a non-denominational Christian youth group for all youth 7th grade through 12th grade. We meet on Wednesday evenings and always provide the kids with a full meal as well as games, community service projects and Christ based lessons and discussions. Every summer several of the youth venture off on a mission trip and serve those in need elsewhere in the county. This past summer after years of saving and planning and COVID delays they made their big trip all the way to Hawaii. In Hawaii they worked at a summer camp that serves the homeless children on the Island. This year's trip has not yet been planned, but will be closer to home. The big trips only happen every four to six years, the other years we stick to areas that we can reach by driving in a reasonable amount of time. We fund these trips and our weekly meals and expenses through several fundraisers such as our upcoming Holiday Pie sales and ongoing Meat Raffle ticket sales from which we receive a percentage from the Eagles club.
JUMP tries to give back to the community that supports us so generously by helping out with community service needs. Including things like shopping for Angel Tree kids, cleaning up after the Blood Drives, serving at benefits etc. If you have an upcoming community event that needs assistance you can reach out and we do our best to provide help.
