We've Got The County Covered
Hello From the Chinook Social Senior Center!
We finally have high rise toilets & grab bars in the lady’s potties. Yay! Yay! Thank you to the Blaine County Commissioners & the budget which allowed for this to happen! When you see Shane Fox or Miles Hutton out & about, let them know that they are very much appreciated! We are slowly moving towards getting things up to snuff with necessary items for our mature guests.
We had SO much fun yesterday, Halloween day. We, here at the Chinook Social Senior Center, comprised the entire Wizard of Oz team, in costume. Several ladies put together goodie bags to prepare for our invitation to the Meadowlark students to come Trick or Treating. We were delighted to have many kiddos accept our invitation. We had a number of community members who also turned up in costume. We certainly appreciate these local people who enjoy participating in fun activities. I can’t wait to see what we can all do next year! Thank you to all who helped in any way, or came in costume. We had several prizes for the best costumes, so everyone got something that they enjoyed.
Here we are in November! Gosh, it seems to have gotten here, quickly! We have lots of fun activities coming up in November, as well! We have painting classes, with instructor Jack Brandon & his lovely daughter, Jennie Friede. These will be held on Wednesdays @ 1:00. All supplies have been donated by Jack. John Shelstad just dropped by to let me know that he has items to donate, as well. Come, try your talents & enjoy this fun-filled class! We have Limber Up classes, which many are participating in on Mondays @ 10:00. We have Cornhole on Mondays @ 1:00. We have Cribbage on Tuesdays @ 1:00. We have fresh Caramel Rolls available on Thursdays, by calling on Wednesday @ 357-2648. We have Limber Up classes on Wednesdays @ 10:00. We have Bingo on Thursdays @ 1:00. The band plays on Fridays, beginning @ 10:00.
