Laurie Ann Skones George

Laurie Ann Skones George, 55, passed away November 4, 2023, at her home in Havre, MT with her family by her side after losing a courageous battle with cancer. Her funeral service will be Friday, November 10, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at First Lutheran Church with Pastors Megan Hoewisch and Michael O’Hearn officiating. Memorial donations in Laurie’s name may be made to the donor’s choice. Laurie was born July 10, 1968, the youngest daughter of Russ and Rosella Skones. She grew up in Chinook, MT, graduating from Chinook High School in 1986. As a young child she always wanted to be a beautician, and that is where life’s work took her. She worked as a beautician for 36 years, retiring in April of 2022. Laurie was baptized in the American Lutheran Church, and in August of 1990, she was married to Roger George of Havre in that same church. To their union was born two sons, Taylor and Devin. Laurie was also blessed with a granddaughter, Kylie, who was the pride and joy of her life.

Laurie enjoyed her family, and they always came first with her. She enjoyed camping and cooking and was an excellent one at that! She also enjoyed painting and crafts. She did some beautiful work.

Laurie was preceded in death by her grandparents, and her mother Rosella on August 2, 2022.

Left to mourn her passing is her husband of 33 years, Roger; her sons, Taylor (Chelsea) and Devin; her granddaughter, Kylie; her father, Russ Skones; her sisters, Nita (John McRell) and Kathi (Randy) King; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
