We've Got The County Covered
You know Lord, t’was fun listening to kids talk about numbers. Here’s a bit of what they said. D. J.: “My grandma’s having a hard time trying to remember her cell phone number, but when her phone rings, even in her old age, she’s smart enough to answer it.” Chuckles.
Taylor said, “My Dad reminded us that we should remember our house number, P.O. Box number, our area code, probably what size shoe or shirt we wear as well as today’s date.” Sally laughed about that.
Eddie added, “Uncle Dick loves play cards, dice, you name it – if it has numbers, Uncle Dick is there.”
Taylor added: “Once we’re old enough to drive, Dad said we should know where to find our driver’s license number – oh, and how about looking at a clock to tell what time it is, knowing those numbers.” More chuckles.
“Our Sunday School teacher read some Bible verses to us; she said the Bible has about 32 verses about numbers.” Susie added, “My favorite verse was Revelations 7:1, it says, ‘Then I saw four Angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds from blowing, so that not a leaf rustle in the trees, and the ocean became as smooth as glass.’ Right now, no wind and no leaves rustle.”
Eddie added, “I liked the one from Rev. 4:8 which states: ‘Each of the four living creatures had six wings and was covered with eyes all around, even under its wings. Day and night they never stop saying: ‘Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty’, who was, and is, and is to come.’” He added, “I can hardly wait to see and hear those Angels – numbers or no numbers, they’ll be great!”
D. J. added: “Thank You, LORD, for all the numbers You have given us!” They all said “AMEN!” .
