2 'Beeters, Wildcat earn All-Conference Recognition

The 2023 volleyball season is in the books and post-season awards have been announced for District 1B and District 2B. The Chinook Sugarbeeters landed two on the District 1B awards list while the Harlem Lady Cats placed one on the District 2B honors list.

Senior Hallie Neibauer earned District 1B 1st team honors for the Sugarbeeters. After competing in the Class C ranks for three years and qualifying for the state tournament her junior season, Neibauer made the most of her one season in Class B. Neibauer often led her team in Kills and even slammed home 27 in a five-set win over the Northern B champion Fairfield Eagles early in the season. Neibauer could score from any position on the court and defensively led the team in blocks. Neibauer was a consistent server and often came up with an Ace when the team needed it.

Junior Rilee Molyneaux found her name on the District 1B honors list as well, earning 2nd Team All-Conference recognition. Molyneaux could do whatever the team needed when called upon. Molyneaux was consistently among the team leaders in Kills and proved to be a defensive stalwart at the net, picking up a crucial block at the most opportune time. Molyneaux was highly effective at the serving line and could be counted on to start the offense, often leading the team in Digs.

Harlem Lady Cat senior Emma Billmayer was named to the District 2B 2nd Team All-Conference list following a stellar season on the court. Billmayer was the Lady Cats go to player when they needed a Kill the most. Billmayer led the team in Kills nearly every match and was a consummate team leader on and off the court. Billmayer often rallied the team during matches with timely scoring a big block or a dig to start the offense.
