The 38th Annual Parade of Lights and Festival of Wreaths will take place on Friday, November 24th with activities in full force across the community throughout the day. Invite your family and bring your friends to shop with numerous local vendors from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at both the Senior Center and the Library. The Festival of the Wreaths will once again fill the First Bank Lobby and your participation in the silent auction is anticipated and appreciated. Before or after wandering through the exhibits and wreaths, take time to enjoy the Holiday Elf Hunt at the Blaine County Museum.
Take your hearty appetite to the Wallner Hall for Pool and Park Soup Fundraiser from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. or stop in the Eagles any time from 11 to closing for tacos. Need more options? Starting at 5 p.m., head over to the Bear Paw Saloon for Pork on the stick, cookies and hot cocoa. And don’t forget to stop in the Chinook Pharmacy and Prairie Pieces for a hot beverage.
Those looking to catch the holiday spirit should consider visiting First Bank from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. to enjoy the Bell Choir. And everyone, young and old, especially those not on the naughty list, are encouraged to head out to the Senior Center from 1-4 to visit Santa.
Just before 6 p.m. it’ll be time to line the streets to enjoy the parade which will include entries from many local businesses, including historical favorites. Following the parade, the Chinook Alliance Church will host a Christmas program, along with cookies and hot chocolate.
The Chinook Parade of Lights and Festival of Wreaths has become a staple for families across the highline and beyond who continue to value friendship and community.
