The Holiday Season is upon us and Blaine County Started in Spectacular Fashion

Top: The 38th Annual Parade of Lights was held in Chinook this past Friday. Festivities including a Scavanger Hunt at the Museum, Vendors at the Library and Senior Center, Cheeseburger Soup by Jean’s Bakery, Hot Chocolate Bar by Prairie Pieces and the Festival of Wreaths made for a fun day getting into the holiday spirit. The night concluded with the Parade of Lights where businesses and clubs created fun light displaces.

Bottom: The Community Thanksgiving Dinner had another successful year making 126 deliveries and pick ups and hosting 70 in house dinners. Mark Billmayer, Jim Stegmeier, Doug Mosser, Jim Doyle, Hannah Rudolph, Heather Adkins, Betty Billmayer, Gaya Silva, Zyon Silva, Kathy O’Brien, Jean Kiel, Not pictured: Nick Turner, Jay Eslick, Toni Collins, Nellie Jo Nicholson, Carla Neibauer, Perry and Wilma Alcorn.

Door prizes were donated by Jim Doyle, grand prize of fire pit with s’mores kit was won by Elsie Capdeville. Tammy Doyle made homemade cookies and Ginger Hansen at the senior center heled with multiple items. Betty Billmayer made homemade pecan pies.
