We've Got The County Covered

Chinook SeniorCenter

Hello From the Chinook Social Senior Center!!

We have had an amazing week, filled with so many fabulous people, in this community! We had our Memorial tree lighting on Friday, Dec. 8th. It was attended by many who hung a Cardinal or a Candle in memory of someone that has reached Jesus, before us. We were absolutely delighted to have our own, super talented, always delightful Sherri Miller play for us. We are so very blessed by her. I told her that I was “putting her under contract”. She laughed. I was SERIOUS.

We also had our first, annual Fundraiser Auction, conducted by our ever-awesome Kevin Elias on Sunday, Dec. 10th @ the Chinook Eagles Club. This was the very first one that I have done for our Senior Center. WOW! What a turnout of people with a heart for our Center. We had the most generous donations, made by people who came to my aid. They brought numerous heart-valued items that brought in such an astounding number of dollars! I couldn’t be more thrilled to call these people my friends. I am often overwhelmed at the generosity of people. We also had some absolutely amazing people who bid high on these items, to help me reach my goal, going into this new year. MAY GOD BLESS YOU BIG! No-one ever wants to hear that with inflation their budgets have been cut, so……I feel richly blessed by the success of this auction. THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

At the end of that day, I was again blessed by Marilyne Berger, Mary Carter, Kari Sullivan, Arleen Lybeck who said, “We will clean up”. SHEESH! What a blessing they were to my very tired soul.

Wednesday, Dec. 13th, we were again busy preparing for the 3rd in a series of speakers, that I am partnering with Sam French on: Jack Mattingly gave a wonderful presentation on the history of the Methodist church in Blaine County. What a great job he did!

WHAT A COMMUNITY OF FINE FOLKS THAT WE RESIDE WITH & CALL FRIEND.

As we enter this season of the biggest blessing ever…..please remember that you matter to God, you matter to us, you matter to this Center, you matter to this community. GET IN HERE!!
