Fairfield Set to Hold Second Annual Jr. Ref Clinic

The Fairfield Basketball Club is pleased to announce that it will be conducting it's second annual JR. REF CLINIC on March 16, 2024, at the Fairfield High School.

Last year's clinic, the first ever Jr. Ref Clinic in Montana, was a huge success and other entities are starting to hold their own clinics, in other parts of the state (Rob-bie Tesch, Billings).

The JR REF clinic relies on the following groups to make it a success:

1. JR REF attendees: Boys/Girls in grades 6th-12th from anywhere in Montana. (Last year we had a HS Junior from Anaconda who attended as well as a few kids from North Star and surrounding towns)

2. MOA Referees: These officials helped to run the clinic and mentor their JR. REFS throughout the clinic. They can be from any pool in the state....retired/non-active, we are looking for help.

3. Playing Teams: Boys and/or Girls teams in Grades 1-5 who will be guaranteed 1-2 games. (This will allow the JR REFS to officiate real games, but at a lower level.) Low cost.

So if you are 1.) a student/athlete in grades 6-12 who wants to learn to officiate, 2.) an MOA who would like to mentor at this clinic, or 3.) a coach/parent of a (team 1st-5th grade) who would like to play on this date (9:00am-1:00pm), please go to the webpage below and register. There is a separate registration link for each group.

We will need to limit the clinic to the following:

1. First 40 Student Athletes who register.

2. At least 20 MOA mentors

3. Any number of boys/girls teams in grades 1-5 who want to play for a low cost.
