Candidates Share Their Views in Chinook

Barb and Greg Jergeson played host to two democratic candidates during the past two weeks. Jesse Mullen, Candidate for Secretary of State, and Ryan Busse, Candidate for Governor, both visited the area in late January.

On Tuesday, January 23, the Jergesons held an open house, serving pastries and coffee. People were invited to visit with Mullen to determine his stance on issues related to the state of Montana. With his campaign slogan, “Working for You, With You,” Mullen says he is “committed to supporting our county government officials, who are the true front line and defense against voter fraud.”

Another of his campaign promises is that he will work to maximize revenue for public schools while also protecting the environmental integrity of and public access to Trust Lands.

A business owner and entrepreneur, Mullen is a candidate from Deer Lodge who owns Mullen Newspaper Company.

This past Tuesday, January 30th, a second candidate, Busse was the guest at the Jergeson home, where light refreshments were served over the course of the afternoon’s conversation. An executive who helped build an American gun company from Kalispell, Busse is running for governor with the campaign slogan, “A New Brand for Montana.”
