We've Got The County Covered

Blaine County Library

February is Library Lovers Month! Be sure to stop in and take a look at the February book displays. While you are here fill out a heart and tell us why you love your library! We have a drawing for adults and one for the kids, so you will want to sign up for that too.

New books this week include a bit of everything. “The Women” by Kristen Hannah is a story of coming of age in a dangerous time and an epic tale of a nation divided during the Vietnam War. “House of Flame and City” by Sarah J. Maas is book 3 in the Cresent City series. “Upside Down” by Danielle Steel is a heartbreaking novel about a mother and daughter who must repair their relationship and find a way to follow their hearts. Three sisters, two murders, and too many secrets to count are what you will find in the psychological thriller “No One Can Know” by Kate Alice Marshall. We have one non-fiction book this week. “The 5 Principles of Parenting: Your Essential Guide to Raising Good Humans” by Aliza Pressman will guide you to let go of perfect and become a transformative, positive influence in your child’s life while creating your own definition of success. We have two new audio books this week. “Mad Honey” by Jodi Picoult and “Hello Beautiful” by Ann Napolitano.

We have had a lot of interest in checking out hotspots lately, which is great. We do want to make sure patrons understand you must have a library card and be in good standing to be able to check out a hotspot. So, you cannot come in and get a library card and immediately check out a hotspot. When a patron registers for a library card, we ask for a current mailing address, and we mail your card to you. After you have checked items out several times and returned them on time, you will be eligible to check out a hot spot. Hot spots are in high demand, and we almost always have a waiting list, so we recommend asking to be put on the hold list. We ask that you be respectful about picking up and returning the hot spots on time. After all, if you are waiting for a hot spot, you don’t want someone returning a hot spot late and making you wait for it.
