It’s time to Buy a Bag O’Books! During the month of March you may fill a grocery sack full of used books from the Reading Room for only one dollar!

The Book Challenge for March is to read a book about siblings. We have a selection on display for you to choose from.

Come to “Friends & Fun!” each Wednesday from 1:00 – 3:00 P.M. in the library meeting room. Get together for great conversation, games and refreshments. All adults are welcome.

The Book Club is currently reading “Ordinary Grace” by William Kent Krueger. The next discussion will be Monday, March 11 at 4 P.M.

Weekly children’s programs include After School Squad, STEAM activities for elementary students, on Wednesdays from 4:00 – 5:00 P.M.; Lego Club for all ages (preschoolers must by accompanied by an adult) on Thursdays from 4:00 – 5:00 P.M.; and Storytime for littles ones ages 0-5 and their parents/caregivers on Fridays from 10:00 – 11:00 A.M.

Mark you calendars for March 21, 6:30 P.M. when Rod Benson will present the program “The Geology of Blaine County.” Rod Benson grew up in Harlem, lives in Helena, and teachers high school science in Hays. He is currently in his 42nd and final year of teaching. Rod has learned as much as he can about the geology of north central Montana, and he has hiked many miles, exploring and photographing our beautiful landscape. During this presentation he will explain how oceans, volcanic activity, and ice ages shaped the Blaine County area. Refreshments will be served.

James Patterson and Brian Sitts have co-authored “Holmes, Marple & Poe.” In New York City three private investigators with famous names open their own agency. A new historical fiction novel is “We Must Not Think of Ourselves” by Lauren Grodstein . In 1940 Adam Paskow becomes a prisoner in the Warsaw Ghetto, where the Jews of the city are held captive by Nazi guards. He is approached by a mysterious figure and asked to join a secret group of archivist working to preserve the truth of what is happening in the ghetto. As he interviews people he meets and falls in love with Sala Wiskoff. When Adam discovers a possible escape he must face an unbearable choice: whom can he save, and at what cost?

New suspense novels include “Before We Were Innocent” by Ella Berman, “Last Night” by Luanne Rice, and “Death Rattle” by Alex Gilly.
