Be sure to join us tomorrow evening, March 21, at 6:30 P.M. for the program “The Geology of Blaine County” presented by Rod Benson. Rod grew up in Harlem, lives in Helena, and teaches high school science in Hays. He is currently in his 42nd and final year of teaching. Rod has learned as much as he can about the geology of north central Montana, and he has hiked many miles, exploring and photographing our beautiful landscape. During his presentation he will explain how oceans, volcanic activity, and ice ages shaped the Blaine County area. Refreshments will be served.

The Book Challenge for March is to read a book about siblings. Be sure to notify the library when you have completed the challenge to have your name entered to win a gift certificate from a local business.

The library board of trustees will hold their monthly meeting March 27, 4:30 P.M. in the library meeting room.

“Friends & Fun” meets every Wednesday from 1:00 – 3:00 P.M. for a time of conversation, games, snacks and fun! All adults are welcome.

James Lee Burke’s latest work is “Harbor Lights.” This is a story collection from one of the most popular and widely acclaimed icons of American fiction. These eight stories move from the marshlands on the Gulf of Mexico to the sweeping plains of Colorado to the prisons, saloons, and trailer parks across the South.

“Anna O” is a novel by Matthew Blake. Anna is a twenty-five-year-old writer. One night she stabs two people in her sleep. Now known as “Sleeping Beauty” she is diagnosed with a rare disorder known as resignation syndrome. Dr. Benedict Prince, a forensic psychologist, must wake up Anna so she can stand trial and to determine what really happened.

A new addition to the Montana nonfiction collection is “Yellowstone’s Birds: Diversity and Abundance in the World’s First National Park” edited by Douglas W. Smith, Laruen E. Walker, and Katharine E. Duffy.

Other new titles include “Random in Death” by J.D. Robb, “One Wrong Word” by Hank Phillippi Ryan, and “The Missing Witness” by Allison Brennan.
