Brooke Ann Blacktongue Pewitt

Brooke Ann Blacktongue-Pewitt, 36, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 11, 2024 in Billings. Brooke was fiery, extreme, could hold a grudge like no other, more importantly though, Brooke had an innate ability to make others feel important - even when deep in the midst of her own personal turmoil. Brooke admittedly had trouble coping after her Mom's passing but viewed her children as rewards after having endured so many hardships.

Brooke was born to Merrilyn (Black Tongue) Ricker on leap year, February 29, 1988. Most of Brooke's adolescence was spent in Seattle, in care of Grandparents: Ervin Blacktongue and Marie Evans. Brooke moved to/has called Montana "home" since 2000.

Brooke is survived by Daughters Jacey Delorme, Brenna Blacktongue, Son Kingston Pewitt Blacktongue, Spouse Jazmine Pewitt; sisters Heather (Gary) Klug, Robyn (Deshae) Begay, brothers Mitch Rich, Aaron Ricker, grandparents Caroline Crazyboy and Ervin Blacktongue; her nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, numerous cousins, extended family, and friends. Brooke is preceded in death by Mom, Merrilyn "Puey" Ricker, uncle Steven Blacktongue and Grandparents: Marie (Ervin) Evans and Francis "Fregon" (Caroline) Saddler.

Wake began Friday March 15, 2024 at 7:00 PM at The Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Fort Belknap. Funeral next day: Saturday, March 16 at 11:00 AM with burial at Crazyboy Family Cemetery, then feed to follow.
