Harlem Library
May is Mental Health Awareness Month; so the Book Challenge for May is to read a book about mental health, either fiction or nonfiction. Summer Reading will soon begin! The theme this year is “Adventure Begins at Your Library!” The kickoff event this year will be a Summer Reading Costume Party on May 20, 4 - 6:30 P.M. If you would like to donate to our Summer Reading Wishlist for 2024, you may order from https://tinyurl.com/SRP24. The Book Club is taking a break until fall.
Blaine County Library
Teen Scene every other Wednesday 6:00-7:00 p.m. (4/24). Thursday LEGO Club 3:45-4:45. Friday Movie 2:00-3:30. Monday STEM Club 3:45-4:45, Tuesday Story Time 10:30-11:00 and Hangout for grades 5-8 3:45-4:45.
Blaine County Museum
Blaine County Museum’s spring exhibit “Briskly Venture, Briskly Roam” about Yellowstone Kelly is now on display through June. The museum is open 10am-6pm Monday through Friday as usual, but please note our Fort Belknap history exhibit is closed and under construction for our new exhibit about Gilbert Horn Sr., to re-open to the public this spring.
Chinook Golf Course
Community Dinner and Auction. Saturday, June 8 at the Commercial Building. Doors open at 5 p.m. Dinner at 6 p.m. Auction at 7 p.m. The Mint Bar is running the Beverage Bar.

JUMP Youth Group
Ultimate Salad Bar will be on Sunday May 12, 2024 from 11:30-1:30 at Wallner Hall. All proceeds go to the JUMP Youth Group to help fund their upcoming mission trip and community service projects
Church Service to Benefit the Chinook Pool and Park Project
On Sunday, May 5th at 11 a.m. the Milk River Congregation and the Chinook Alliance Church will be joining together for a church service which will include participation from the Sonshine Community Church kids at the Blaine County Fairgrounds Commercial Building. All offerings from this Service will go towards the Chinook Pool and Park Project. There will be a potluck following the service, we hope you can attend and enjoy a Sunday of Fellowship and Community.
Community Chest
This year’s Community Chest Fund Drive in Chinook will take place Wednesday, May 1, at 5:30 p.m. The purpose of Community Chest is to alleviate each organization from going door-to-door soliciting donations. The drive provides local funding for Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, Food Pantry, AAU Wrestling, Youth Baseball/Softball, Youth Soccer, MCT, Swim Team, Chinook Rod and Gun Club, and PAWS.
Chinook Senior Center
The Chinook Area Senior Center Board is looking for members interested in serving on the Chinook Area Senior Center Board. The following board positions will become available at the end of June 2024 and will be filled by a vote of the members at the Annual Meeting in July 2024.
