The library board of trustees will hold their regular monthly meeting today, May 29, 4:30 P.M. in the library meeting room.

Calling everyone to join in the summer reading program “Adventure Begins at Your Library!” Children may still register and set their reading goals to earn prizes. In each week the first thirty minutes read you may earn a gift certificate for Paradise Shave Ice ( the truck will be at the library Monday afternoons); for the second thirty minutes you will receive a gift certificate for a small ice cream from the Corner Hub; the next thirty minutes earns you a gift certificate for a Boba Drink from Milk River Pharmacy, and the fourth thirty minutes earns a gift certificate for a small personal pizza from EZ Mart. For each prize earned your name will be entered into the grand prize drawing. For every additional thirty minutes you read per week and for every library program you attend your name will also be entered into the grand prize drawing. Keep those reading skills sharp this summer!

Weekly summer reading programs include Summer Steam (science, technology, engineering, arts and math) for elementary students on Mondays at 1:00 P.M. from June 3 to July 22. Children ages 0-5 and their parents/caregivers are invited to Storytime on Tuesdays at 10:00 A.M. until July 16. Lego Club meets on Thursdays for all ages until July 18. Children under 5 must be accompanied by an adult.

Teens and adults are also encouraged to take part in the summer reading program. For every book you read or listen to, your name will be entered into the grand prize drawing of a $50 gift card. Just let the library know in person, via email, or on Facebook when you’ve completed a book.

Also stop by the library and add a map tack to our United States map showing the farthest you have traveled!

If you have completed the May Book Challenge by sure to notify the library to have your name entered to win a gift card from a local business. The Book Challenge for June is to read an adventure book.

The library and Aaniiih Nakoda College are collaborating to host a QuickBooks Online class this summer. The class, held at the library, will include five sessions on Fridays from 9:00 - noon on June 7, 14,21,28 and July 12. The instructor is Lori Owens and you may earn 15 credits through Aaniiih Nakoda College by attending all the sessions. The class will cover basic bookkeeping using QuickBooks Online and will include the topics of general bookkeeping, navigating QuickBooks Online, basic double-entry accounting transactions, financial reports and good record keeping practices. A twenty dollar fee will be charged for the series and may be paid prior to the class at the library or on June 7. Please bring your own laptop.

Remember “Friends & Fun!” meets each Wednesday from 1:00 -3:00 P.M. for all adults. Get together for a time of conversation, snacks and games!
