Turner High School Graduates Three Students

The Turner High School commencement services were held this past Saturday in the school gymnasium. Mrs. Kathy Zellmer played Pomp and Circumstance. Senior, Ryan Doyle gave a nice welcome and then introduced the guest speaker, Mrs. Kirsti Cederberg. Kirsti's message was that "It Takes a Village to Raise a Child." She conveyed that a host of people help teach a child through their growing up years, from holding a spoon, to potty training, to tying shoes, to dress, and the list goes on all through growing up and going to school. She spoke how the school and the people of the community have had a large part in teaching the graduates these things, and that they are here for continued support into the next phase of their lives of either college or whatever path they choose to take.

The graduates then had a rose ceremony where they each presented various special guests and/or family a long stem rose. This was done to their choice of music. Following this, a slideshow was projected onto a large screen where the guests were able to see slides of the graduates from younger years all through their years up to graduation. Trent Billmayer, Valedictorian for 2024, gave his farewell address. He spoke about how quickly the years went getting to this moment, all of which in many ways he'll miss.
