Hello From the Chinook Senior Center

We have been blessed by several people who have come into our wonderful center over this past week to share valuable information with us, regarding health concerns of our Blaine county population. These individuals have spent time and energy coming in and having us fill out anonymous questionnaires, regarding our own personal health issues. This is valuable information that they can then put into their database to help secure needed information that will insure future necessary health provisions. Thank you to the Blaine County Health Department for their time and concern!

We hosted our monthly birthday party last Friday, May 31st and were once again, blessed by many people within our community that came and allowed us to share a birthday meal with them. Was it ever good! We are blessed by our cooks who take extra time to prepare so many nice, tasty, nutritious meals for us! Thank you to Debbie Ramberg and our new Head Cook, Howard Juneau! Welcome aboard, Howard! We consider you a big blessing also!

We had our Foot Clinic, yesterday and had many people in to benefit from the services that they provide.

Today, we had the most delightful visitor, Sheri Miller, who came and shared her tremendous musical talents, much to the enjoyment of everyone. She even played requests for the many people who attended this joyful occasion. Thank you, Sheri, you wonderful woman of God! We are always so very delighted when you share your talents with us, which are amazing.

Looking into next week, Tuesday, June 11th, if you see this in time…..Donny Greytak will be here at 2:00 to share his story of artistry and how this has changed his life. You don’t want to miss this one, either!

Friday, June 14th will be our next CARD PARTY @ 2:00. Please call us @ 357-2648 and join in the fun!

We also have Gene Allen and friends (Lynn & Sherry) coming to play their wonderful music on Wed., June 19th from 1:00-4:00. Another one that you don’t want to miss! It is always such a pleasure to have them here!

Sunday, June 23rd is the date chosen by Kody Farmer’s family to have his Celebration of life service @ 1:00 at the Chinook High School gym. Please keep this family in prayer for the journey that this has been for them all.

CARD PARTY again on Fri., June 28th @ 2:00! We are planning on hosting these every other Friday @ 2:00! We truly wish for you to join us in the fun. 357-2648

VOLUNTEER PICNIC for all of the fabulous people who come in to our center and share of their time, talents and energy will be held on Saturday, June 29th @ the Scout Park @ 1:00! Please, once again, call us and let us know that you will be joining us!We APPRECIATE YOU!
