Hello From the Chinook Senior Center

Another week has passed! Oh, my! They sure go fast! We continue to celebrate and enjoy people every single day, right here, with games, goodies, friendship & fellowship!

Today, we celebrated Jack Brandon’s 89th birthday, here, with his family and many of his friends, his favorite cake (German Chocolate) and lots of pictures and laughter. He is a joy to visit with. He has so much knowledge about our area, having grown up here. He also has shared his painting talents for several months with a group of ladies who have explored their painting abilities. He is a wonderful pianist and has shared many fine tunes with us. We are lucky to have Jack come and visit us often.

We are blessed to have Donny Greytak here today, sharing his story of artistry and how that came about! Oh, my, the talent, all wrapped up in one single man. Donny just left the Center and what a wonderful presentation! What a humble man, as well. I feel very fortunate to have had him come and share with us. It was enjoyed by many people. If you chose to show up for this presentation, then you know that you also got, free of cost, one of his 2024 Calendars,” because half of the year is over”, he stated. We even had some fine ladies from Havre come and enjoy this special occasion.

Looking forward to what we have next week. Wednesday, June 19th is the day that Gene Allen & friends will be playing wonderful music for our listening pleasure from 1:00-4:00. They pack up lots of equipment, unload it, sing, play and entertain and all we have to do is show up and enjoy it! We are truly lucky people. I am encouraging all people who enjoy good music to come! GET IN HERE!

Sunday, June 23rd is the date for Kody Farmer’s Celebration of life, scheduled by his family @ Chinook High School gym @ 1:00. Please do come and share stories of Kody with his family. It is my understanding that they will have a luncheon following his service, also at the school.

Our Center is a wonderful place to gather, to visit, to share news with one another and to simply enjoy the company of others. Everyone needs social interaction. GET IN HERE!
