Joan Elser was born Barbora Joan Sheldon in Hialech, Florida July 10, 1930 and passed away in Billings, Montana on February 24, 2024.
Her mom died when she was five years old. Her dad worked for Terry Morse Seeds which took them to Sheridan, MT.
She graduated from high school in 1948. She and her future husband, Wayne Elser, went to Montana State College, graduating in 1952. They lived in Highwood from 1952-1963, when they moved to Dutton. She lived there almost 56 years. Her husband died in 1990.
She had three children - Cheryl Maurer (Larry), Russell (Glenda) and Patty Sundberg (Lance). She has 8 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Services are on July 29, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at the Methodist Church in Dutton.
