Hello From the Chinook Senior Center

I am trusting that you all had a wonderful 4th of July celebration with all that it means to you. Now, the heat is finally upon us. We had such a rainy, cooler 4th of July, that it hardly seemed like it was the 4th!

Boy oh boy, we sure had a big time in here last week! With the All-Class Reunion, we had countless people in here for Bingo, Lunch, Music, Pie & Ice Cream social, as well as just to drop in and say “Hello”.

We had the biggest crowd ever, for Bingo! I had no idea that so many people liked Bingo! It was a full house, with lots of winners. We had Kenny Overcast, Sheri Miller, and the Powell sisters, Avis & Marge here on Friday, playing and entertaining our huge crowd of guests! Absolutely everyone had a great time!

I am thankful that the participants in the All-Class reunion were wearing nametags. That certainly helps when you haven’t seen someone for many years.

We are so very richly blessed with the people that we have an outreach with to provide us with continued fun, learning and sharing.

I understand, at this time, that we will have the same musical talent here on Friday, July 26th for the July birthday party! You need to call and sign up! We would love to celebrate your birthday with you, if you have a birthday in July. 357-2648 If you don’t have a birthday in July, we would love to see you, anyway!

Tues.., July 23rd : Southwest Chicken Salad

As always, we ask that you call before 10:00 to join us for lunch, or at the very latest, by 11:00! Weather you plan to pick up a meal, have one delivered or dine with us, we need to plan ahead for how many we are cooking for. I am certain that you understand this, as it is truly impossible to guess how many we are preparing for, and we thank you for your courtesy.

WE HAVE HOT COFFEE, COLD ICE TEA, FRIENDSHIP, FELLOWSHIP, CORNHOLE, CRIBBAGE, PINOCHLE, PAINTING CLASSES, DIAMOND DOTZ ART, BINGO., LIMBER UP CLASSES, MUSIC, AND FUN! GET IN HERE!
