We've Got The County Covered
The Blaine County Library will be closed Monday September 2nd, in observance of Labor Day.
The library will be partnering with the Blaine County Museum to host a book club. The books will primarily be those written by Montana authors and/or those that take place in Montana. The plan is to have the first meeting in late September or early October. We are trying to get an idea of how many people would be interested in joining us, so if this is something you would like to participate in, let one of us know! You can call or stop into the museum or the library or send us a message on Facebook.
We have several thrillers ready to go this week. Nothing ever happens in sleepy little Fairhill, Vermont. But this morning that will change, and one innocent question could be deadly in “What have you done?” by Shari Lapena. “Fire and Bones” by Kathy Reichs is a twisty, unputdownable thriller featuring forensic anthropologist Temperance Brennan, who finds herself at the center of a Washington, DC, arson investigation that spawns deepening levels of mystery and, ultimately, violence. “Our Little Secret” by Lisa Jackson is a gender-reversed spin on Fatal Attraction and is an addictive tale of escalating obsession, betrayal, and violent delights. “All the Colors of the Dark” by Chris Whitaker combines a thriller and an epic love story. It is the latest Read with Jenna book club selection.
Fall programs will resume in September. The first Story Time will be Tuesday September 3rd at 10:30 a.m. Due to scheduling conflicts in the meeting room the following week, we will not begin other programs until the week of September 16th. We will have an updated schedule of those programs once we have finalized the days and times. We are planning to continue having Home School Hour and will have a list available for families to sign up to host.
