Hello From the Chinook Senior Center

We have had many opportunities to share time with community members over this past week, for a variety of activities.

We had wonderful music today, by Gene Allen and Sheri Neuens. It was enjoyed by many, however we would love for you to join us for these fabulous musicians. There were empty chairs, and I would LOVE to fill them up!

We will have Dr. Benjamin Farr here, at our Center on Wed., Aug. 28th @ 11:00 (this is a change from the 12:30 time, previously). Please come and listen to the information that he will be sharing regarding joint replacement and what to expect.

We continue to search for many varied activities, so if you know of someone who would like to share, please contact me. I would love to include them in our schedule of events, here at our wonderful Center. We are richly blessed to have this Center and I would like to continue to grow it. GET IN HERE!

The Presbyterian church held a wonderful 125 - year celebration here, at our Center last Sunday. It was attended by many people from different churches in our area. I understand that some people travelled a distance to partake in this event. I am so very glad that we have a Center that can accommodate such wonderful/ noteworthy activities.

If you have an upcoming event, please be certain to contact me and I would love to help you secure a date.

WE ARE STILL SEEKING PEOPLE WITHIN OUR COMMUNITY WHO WOULD LIKE TO VOLUNTEER A COUPLE OF HOURS, PER WEEK, EITHER DRIVING, TO DELIVER MEALS, OR HELPING IN THE DINING ROOM AND KITCHEN. This would give you an opportunity to see people in our community that you might not otherwise have a chance to see. Please think about this.

We continue to hold Pinochle parties, every other Friday, and would love for you to call and sign up! 357-2648.

As we approach fall, we will look for more indoor activities, that you may wish to join.

Mon., Sept. 2nd: ( Closed for Labor Day)

Tues., Sept. 3rd: Super Nachos

We have cold ice tea, hot coffee, cookies, caramel rolls, friendship, fellowship and a heart for our community! GET IN HERE! Be blessed and bless others.
