Fall sports are underway at Harlem High School and the Lady Cats are ready to take the court. The Lady Cats have been working hard in the gym since Friday, August 16, preparing for the season. Volleyball continues to grow in Harlem with 36 out this season providing 3 full rosters. Kim Faulkinberry is back as head coach this year. She's excited about what she has seen through the first week of practice. "We have 36 girls out for volleyball this season", she said. "A week into practice, we feel this has been the hardest working group of girls we have ever had."
The Lady Cats have a lot of experience returning this season. "After graduating four last spring", said Faulkinberry, "we have eight returners. Of those eight, six have solid varsity experience."
Twelve seniors are out this season: Svea Hogan, Cassidy Grabofsky, Modesty Chamberlain, Meridian Snider, Ihte' Stiffer, Raelynne Briere, Joleigh Red Tomahawk, Izzy Baker, Array Mount, Gracie Sanchez, Lacia Walls and Jaden Blackcrow.
Juniors include MJ Beaman, Bridget Reed, Trinity Bell, Cyla Adams, Cadence Fortin, Jarah Wilson, Elleonna Azure and Elizabeth Main.
Natalie Richman, Ali Doyle, Holly Grabofsky, Kehtsin Stiffer, Mikaela Doney, Maddy Mount, Aubri Flying, Kacia Boushie and Amira Hoops round out the sophomore class.

There is a lot of experience, leadership and possibility this year and Coach Faulkinberry is excited to get this season under way. "There has been, and will continue to be, great competition for positions as the year goes on. We are all looking forward to a competitive and exciting season!"
The Lady Cats will compete in the district 2B, battling it out with the Malta Mustangs, Wolf Point Wolves, Poplar Indians, Fairview Warriors, and the Glasgow Scotties.
The Lady Cats kick off their season this Saturday (August 31) when they travel to Malta to compete in the Malta Invitational. Their first game in front of their hometown crowd will be Thursday, September, 5 against the Wolf Point Wolves.
