Letter To The Editor

Dear Hearts & Gentle People,

The DePriest sisters would like to thank all of you for the wonderful time we enjoyed at the Chinook High School All Class Reunion. It was wonderful to see so many people in town -thank you for coming!

A special thank you to Heather DePriest for taking on this huge undertaking and her family who helped at every event that we attended. I would also like to recognize the committee members; Katie Unruh, Heather Huravitch, Laura Feltz, Jill Paulson, Shelby Nemitz, Kelsey Harry, Julianne Snedigar, and Jessica Aberg. Thank you for all you do for Chinook. Thanks also to the Chinook residents who assisted with all the events. There was something fun for everyone and we couldn't begin to fit all the activities in ... although Jacki tried!

We sisters still call Chinook home, although we all have lived elsewhere for many years. We have found that "home" is not a place, but a feeling of appreciation of our rural roots and the tough people that grew up in this area. Chinook looked great! It was easy to see that the town was all spitted up for the reunion - the high school, fairgrounds, Main Street, pool, park, court house, golf course and cemetery all looked great. We believe that Chinook is the gem of the Hi Line, and it was shining for the reunion.
