We've Got The County Covered
Harlem Lady Wildcats Volleyball was up and down this weekend. We had a great win at home against Wolf Point. The girls worked hard and together to get the job done. They had fun doing it. The girls served well. Meridian Snider and Ali Doyle each had 5 aces. Our serve receive was great with very few errors. Natalie Richman led the team in kills with 12, followed by Jaden Blackcrow with 8. Ihte' Stiffarm led the team in assists. Bridget Reed led the team in blocks with 2 and Raelynne Briere led the team in digs with 16.
Friday night the Lady Cat's momentum didn't carry over from the Wolf Point game. "We struggled from the serving line, serving only 70%. It is really hard to keep positive momentum going when we aren't consistent at the serving line". Raelynne Briere had 4 kills, followed by Natalie Richman and Bridget Reed each with 3. Natalie and Bridget also combined for 5 blocks. Ali Doyle was the assist leader in this match with 9. Lacia Walls and Raelynne Briere lead the team with 7 digs each.
"I really think that the girls were affected by the heat in the gym on Friday night after playing in a really hot gym the previous night.
Poplar played well and were amped up with their Homecoming activities".
Saturday we played in Fairview and fell 1-3. We were very close to forcing a fifth set. We played so much better as a team against Fairview. It also helped that Fairview's gym had air conditioning. Fairview has an amazing hitter. She was hard to stop. We had some great digs versus Fairview. Aaraya Mount, Ali Doyle and Lacia Walls lead the team in digs. Aaraya Mount and Raelynne Briere lead the team in kills, each with 7, followed by Jaden Blackcrow and Natalie Richman each with 5. Bridget Reed had 3 blocks and Ali Doyle led the team in assists.
This weekend we host North Country on Thursday and Glasgow on Friday. Saturday we travel to Malta.
